Nishant Tiwari, MD, MS
Nishant Tiwari, MD, MS, is a neuropathologist in the Department of Neuropathology at Barrow Neurological Institute. He is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, neuropathology, and pediatric pathology by the American Board of Pathology.
Dr. Tiwari specializes in the microscopic analysis of nervous system tissue for both clinical and research purposes. He is a member of the American Association of Neuropathologists, the College of American Pathologists, and the Society of Pediatric Pathology.
Dr. Tiwari earned his medical degree from Kasturba Medical College of Manipal University in India. He also holds a master’s degree in molecular biochemistry and biophysics from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, where he accomplished his thesis in cancer biology. Dr. Tiwari completed his anatomic and clinical pathology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He also completed a fellowship in neuropathology at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles and a fellowship in pediatric pathology at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
Dr. Tiwari’s research interests include tumors of the brain and soft tissue, particularly in pediatric ages.

Nishant Tiwari, MD, MS
