Meningioma Patient Finds Help at Ivy Brain Tumor Center
Nick Stump was diagnosed with a malignant meningioma in 2015. He underwent surgery, but his brain cancer returned in 2018.
That’s when Stump came to the Ivy Brain Tumor Center at Barrow Neurological Institute, which offers Phase 0 trials for aggressive brain tumors. Phase 0 trials are designed to accelerate the drug evaluation process by bridging the gap between traditional preclinical and clinical studies.
“Overall, things are going great,” Stump told Fox 10 Phoenix. “The medicine I’m taking is personalized to my own medical condition and effective at that.”
