Dr. Michael Lawton Discusses McCain’s Brain Cancer with Associated Press
The Associated Press spoke to Barrow President and CEO Dr. Michael Lawton about glioblastoma in an article describing Sen. John McCain’s brain cancer battle.
McCain has maintained a busy schedule despite undergoing surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy. Many people aren’t surprised by the prisoner of war’s “feisty approach to his latest challenge,” the article said, but Dr. Lawton noted that the upbeat attitude is actually typical of people who have recently had a brain tumor removed because they experience relief from symptoms such as headaches or seizures.
“But there could be some tough things down the road,” Dr. Lawton said.
