Outcomes Database
About
The long-term health outcomes of people living with multiple sclerosis (MS) and other neuroImmunology diseases are not well known. Barrow Neurological Institute is building a database that stores patient health data used to gain knowledge and identify trends in outcomes in patients suffering from MS and other neuroImmunology diseases, such as but not limited to transverse myelitis, optic neuritis, neuromyelitis optica, MOG, autoimmune encephalitis, neurosarcoidosis, Behcet’s syndrome, ADEM, Susac disease, Hashimoto encephalopathy, being seen at Barrow Neurological Institute.
Retrospective research will be conducted using this stored health data to understand the symptoms of our patients, connect our patients with clinical research opportunities for which they are eligible, and inform prospective MS research. This Outcomes Database will help our neurologists:
- Understand the symptoms of our MS patients and other NeuroImmunological patients.
- Determine whether our patients are eligible for current and/or upcoming clinical trials.
- Conduct retrospective research to extend knowledge about multiple sclerosis and other NeuroImmunological diseases.
