Anna Sawa, MS
Anna Sawa is a research engineer in the Spinal Biomechanics Laboratory at Barrow Neurological Institute.
Anna received her BSE and MS in Bioengineering from Arizona State University. She has over 20 years of working experience in research and development in spinal biomechanics and has been a member of the Barrow Spinal Biomechanics Laboratory since 2005. She has designed and performed various in vitro studies, many including strain gauge technology applied to surgical tools, implants, and cadaveric tissue. Anna is a PhD candidate in biomedical engineering at ASU and is developing a uniquely validated computational model of a lumbar spinal segment.
