Courtney Schusse, MD, is a neurologist in both the Epilepsy Center and Lewis Headache Center, professor of neurology, and the Vice Chair of Education in the Department of Neurology at Barrow Neurological Institute. She is board certified in headache, epilepsy, and clinical neurophysiology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Dr. Schusse’s areas of interest include epilepsy and headaches. She is a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Epilepsy Society, and American Headache Society.

Dr. Schusse completed her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in East Lansing. She completed her neurology residency and clinical neurophysiology and epilepsy fellowship training at Barrow Neurological Institute.

Her research interests include looking at clinical and cognitive outcomes in epilepsy surgery, as well as new treatments for epilepsy and headaches.
