Glynnis Zieman, MD, MPH, FAAN, FAHS, is medical director of the Brain Injury & Sports Neurology Center and a neurologist in the Lewis Headache Center at Barrow Neurological Institute. She also serves as the program director for the Sports Neurology & Traumatic Brain Injury Fellowship, as well as the medical director of both the Domestic Violence Brain Injury Program and the Barrow Concussion Network. She is board certified in adult neurology and brain injury medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and headache medicine by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties.

Dr. Zieman’s expertise includes brain injury, sports neurology, and headache. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Headache Society, and American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.

Dr. Zieman received her medical degree from the University of Missouri—Kansas City School of Medicine. She completed her neurology residency as well as fellowships in neuro-oncology and sports neurology at Barrow.

Dr. Zieman’s research interests include incidence of and recovery from traumatic brain injury in domestic violence survivors and posttraumatic headache.
