Jessica Schneider, PsyD, is a rehabilitation psychologist in the Inpatient Neuro-Rehabilitation Unit at Barrow Neurological Institute.

Dr. Schneider’s expertise includes promoting adjustment to changes in functioning and disability after injury. She works with both patients and families across various phases of recovery, with a particular focus on personalized care within the acute care setting. She is a member of the Rehabilitation Psychology Division 22 of the American Psychological Association, the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology, the International Neuropsychological Society, and the Society for Neuro-Oncology.

Dr. Schneider received her master’s degree in clinical professional psychology from Roosevelt University and her doctorate in clinical psychology from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. She completed her internship in rehabilitation psychology and neuropsychology at Missouri Health Sciences Psychology Consortium and her residency in rehabilitation psychology and neuropsychology at the University of Michigan Health Care System.

Dr. Schneider’s research interests include evaluating the relationship between health-related quality of life and cognitive functioning in medical populations, with particular emphasis on neuro-oncology.
