Michael Wu, BS

Graduate Student

Michael Wu is a PhD student in the Arizona State University – Barrow Neurological Institute Neuroscience PhD Program. His research interests lie in studying prothrombotic states and inflammatory mechanisms of stroke. Specifically, Michael is interested in understanding how chronic and peripheral inflammation exacerbates acute stroke outcomes, and how modulating this inflammation can ameliorate stroke severity.

Michael graduated from Arizona State University double majoring in Medicinal Biochemistry (BS) and Biological Sciences (BS) in 2018, and worked in the emergency room as a medical scribe for two years where he gained an interest in stroke science.
