Trent Maruyama, OTR/L, CKTP
Rehabilitation Technology
Trent Maruyama is a registered and licensed occupational therapist (OTR/L) and the rehabilitation technology program manager of the Neuro-Rehabilitation Center at Barrow Neurological Institute.
Mr. Maruyama’s expertise is centered on the implementation of neuro-robotics and rehabilitation technology for those with neurological trauma, as well as brain and spinal cord diseases. He is member of the Ability360 Board of Directors and also serves on their Board of Directors Executive Committee.
Mr. Maruyama received his Bachelor of Science in occupational therapy from the University of Alberta in Canada, preceded by a Bachelor of Science in physical sciences from the same university.
Mr. Maruyama is deeply invested in the current use and future direction of wearable robotics in rehabilitation, and his broader interests include the use of functional therapeutic interventions and kinesio-taping, for which he is also certified.
